merry christmas

Merry Christmas to all,
It was a great day yesterday. The boys were on the top of their game waking up at 8am and ready to go. From Spiderman to Ben 10, I think we had every cartoon covered in toys, games, and coloring books. We wish all of you a very joyous holiday season!

Powder Puffs

Ok- now Luciano and I are even in letting our boys totally decorate themselves! On Sunday after Gio and I got done baking, he went off to play with Dominic while I cleaned up our baking mess. A few minutes pass and I begin to hear the deepest belly laugh from both boys. I turn around to find them doing this... See right!

Watch out Picasso

I came home from work the other day and opened the back door only to find Gio and Dom looking like the picture on the right! I asked them what had happened and they both said that they were decorating themselves to look like Spiderman. The best part of it all was it was during Luciano's watch and he had no clue. He too could not stop laughing at these two meatballs!

Is it time to make him float

We are at my cousin Erica's sons baptism and after a long mass, it was time for the private baptismal ceremony. Between mass and the ceremony, Gio asked my cousin Jackie, "Is it time for Grayson to float?"

Pulling an Aunt Lisa

Tonight while I was cleaning the table off after dinner, I dropped a napkin and as I bent down to pick it up, I noticed someone's autograph on the wall. Plain as day in pen, it read, "GIO". I looked over to my little man and asked him to explain how is name got on the wall. With his head tilted ever so slightly and a giant grin, he replies, "You know Mommy, I think it was Dominic!"

Teeny Weeny

Gio, Dominic, and I went for a walk through the neighborhood tonight and saw one of the neighbors walking their brand new puppy. Gio goes to the neighbor, " I like your teener wiener dog."

Cory's Got A Headcake

Last night, Cory and Nella babysat the boys. Cory went home early. I asked Dominic the next morning how was it having Cory and Nella over. Gio butted in and said Cory didn't feel well. I then asked the boys why. Dominic replied, "Cory's got a head cake!".

Gio's 1st Emotional Moment

So, I come home from work and the house is clean, dinner in the oven, the kids are playing nicely at the table coloring pictures, and to top it off, Luciano had a gift of perfume for me. I went over and gave him a big hug and kiss to say thank you. While we were in the embrace, Gio started crying a sweet, happy cry. I bent down and asked him if he was ok and why he was crying. He then replies, "I love it when you hug Daddy. It makes me so happy!". My heart instantly melted and made me realize even more than I already do how important it is to let your kids see you and your husband interact and be affectionate.

Father, Father

For some reason or another when you tickle Gio and he has had enough, he yells, "Father, Father!". Knowing full well he means Uncle, I just sit back and laugh. Well tonight of all things, I was tickling Dom and he started shouting it as, "Fauter, Fauter!"

CHRISTMAS

Tonight, Luciano and Giovanni were having 'baseball practice' in the family room and Luciano was torn between watching the end of the Yankees game and pitching to Gio. Impatient little man of mine yelled at Daddy... "What are you waiting for? Christmas?"

New Name Same Blog
After much thought, I decided to switch the name of the blog for safety reasons. I do hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone, but my boys are my life...

Dom's View on Mommy's Career
Dom asked me tonight if I had to go to work. I told him, "No, silly." And then proceeded to ask my little man if knew where Mommy worked. Looking so serious, he replies, "In your car!"Posted by Little Meatballs at 7:46 PM 0 comments

Chocolate-A Vegetable?Driving from the playground to the grocery store, I asked the boys what they wanted to eat for dinner. Dominic so sweet and innocent, replies that he wants chicken nuggets. I then asked him what vegetable he wants to eat with his nuggets. He pauses and says, "ummm, chocolate!"Posted by Little Meatballs at 4:48 PM 1 comments

1st Day of SchoolToday was Gio's 1st day of his second year of preschool. Of course as Luciano and I expected, he kissed us good bye and ran off with his friends. There are 26 kids in his class. Get this- 17 of them are all boys! Thank goodness there are 3 teachers to keep them all under control. The only tears today that were shed were coming from poor little Dominic's eyes. He wanted to stay at school so bad. He kept saying, "I stay at school too!" So we told him when he is a big boy and goes potty, he can go to school with Gio. He then says, "I pee in potty. I go to school now!"Posted by Little Meatballs at 6:44 PM 0 comments

Potty TimeCan you believe that for the very first time (well almost first time since he has produced some dribble before), Dominic pee'ed in the potty! The best not to mention funniest part of it was that he did it standing up! When he got done peeing, he said, "Yeah, Nico do it too!"Posted by Little Meatballs at 6:11 PM 1 comments

Drop himThe other day both boys just 'needed' me to carry them both upstairs to go to bed. Seeing how Gio weighs a little over 40lbs and Dominic about 30, I was struggling up the steps and told them jokingly that I was about to drop one of them. Gio being the good big brother he is simply replied, "If you have to drop someone Mommy, just make sure it is Dominic!"Posted by Little Meatballs at 7:40 PM 0 comments

Mommy, where are we going? While trying to do multiple errands the other day in preparation for Dominic's 2nd Birthday party, Giovanni was growing tired of all the driving around. He asked me, "Mommy, where are we going?" I replied jokingly, "Crazy". Gio being Gio replied back, "After that?"Posted by Little Meatballs at 1:40 PM 2 comments
